Building a business intelligence centre of excellence for a FIU-IND registered cryptocurrency exchange, with a build-and-transfer model: the objective is an internal team that runs the function, not an ongoing dependency.

Built the business intelligence function from the ground up at a crypto exchange scaling through hypergrowth, defining the roadmap, the analytics architecture and the reporting strategy for every business vertical.
- Established BI from a blank page across product, growth, finance, trading and operations

- Built prescriptive dashboards for trading and fund operations that reduced operational risk

Eleven years of foundations, culminating in a large-scale analytics modernization programme for a European bank, including a two-year onsite assignment in Amsterdam as lead engineer.
- Led a large-scale enterprise dashboard migration as part of a cloud analytics programme
- Delivered analytics supporting European Central Bank and Dutch National Bank regulatory reporting
- Served as chapter lead for SQL and Power BI, managing and mentoring a team of engineers
- Built and delivered analytics training programmes reaching associates at scale
I also build alongside others.
WatSubRam is the consultancy I am building with Ramalingam Subramanian and Suresh Victor. The three of us held senior operating roles together at CoinDCX, and we now partner on build, operate and transfer engagements where a company needs operators inside the business rather than advice from outside it. I lead the data and intelligence side.
